Ever since her foundation in 1968 Wim van der Valk Yachts has steadily grown to become one of the leading European luxury motor yacht builders. Each yacht that leaves the wharf proudly wears the logo "Custom built by Wim van der Valk", a sentence which clearly indicates that each yacht is unique as regards design and equipment.Wim van der Valk Yachts does not only built steel yachts, we are also very experienced with the lighter material Aluminum. If one desires to combine the design and sailing qualities of a steel yacht with a higher top speed, we can built an aluminum glider. At the speed where a steel Continental, a so called displacement yacht, will reach it's maximum speed, an aluminum Continental will lift itself partially out of the water en proceed as a half-glider with a higher speed. The final top speed is depending on both specification (weight) and engine sizes. The first new Continental 20.00 Aluminum is scheduled for delivery in the summer of 2007. |
